Conventional door-stays hold the doors in defined stop positions.

Comfortably getting in and out of the car will be difficult if the door needs to be held between two notches. Damage to the paintwork will be hard to avoid.

If the car door opens accidentally, as might happen on a hill or in windy weather, it will leave nasty scratches and dents in the car next to it. In the worst case, it will slam shut and trap fingers or legs.

Function

Unlike mechanical door-stays, the innovative hydraulic DORSTOP door-stay will hold vehicle doors securely in any desired position. Even when opened with great momentum, it will be gently dampened by the end position damping. Yet, the usual, low force will be sufficient to move the door again, when needed.
